Program #1384 was recently listed in the new May 2012 Road Scholar catalog as one of the most popular learning adventures in North America or International for NEW Participants.
I have just returned from an excellent week at St. Simon's Island, GA program #1384 Island Hopping....Three Barrier Reefs, May 6-11, 2012. It could not have been done any better. My room was absolutely wonderful. Who can complain about their own screened in porch overlooking miles of salt marsh? The educators/lecturers/tourguides were all exceptional, especially Georgia. However that is my science preference coming out. She is so very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. What an absolute treasure she is to this program and probably others as well. I would go back to anything that she was lecturing on if I lived closer. Rusty Fleming was also an exceptional leader. He was friendly, clear in his communications, accommodating, always a step ahead of the game, prepared for anything. Several Road Scholar professionals (been on more than three trips) said he is the best co-ordinator they have ever had. I am sure they are right.
I am so lucky there was room for me on this last minute adventure. Your programs are very welcoming to single travelers who just want a safe, interesting, fairly priced single supplement, opportunity to travel and not have to eat alone. Now to look for my next adventure.
